Anderson Silva more dangerous than Hurricane Irene

Saturday night UFC 134 in Rio Brazil Anderson Silva and a crew of Brazilian fights took the stage! It was a night of knockouts, not submissions with many fights ending in round one which is always exciting.

Ain’t no sunshine when she is gone… That is Anderson Silva’s entrance song and unlike Hurricane it is true for Silva’s opponents.

Silva fought Yushin Okami which was Silva’s last loss five years ago. Yes Okami beat Silva! Anderson was disqualified due to an illegal kick (whatever that means). Silva felt him out for a round to give him a chance and then round two just toyed with Okami before finishing him.

Silva stood in front of him with his hands down and a look on his face saying, punch me I will slip your punch and knock you out. He was like Anderson “Bruce Lee” Silva last night and needless to say he kept his title.

The UFC’s Ultimate Champion has turned out to be their ultimate dilemma, who in the hell can we get to fight this guy that is truly worthy. Okami only got a shot as a lame rematch. Who can handle Anderson Silva’s perfect punch!

Silva’s win followed that of Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, who finished Griffin in a battle of former light heavyweight champions and re-established himself among the loaded division’s elite. Earlier, former PRIDE and UFC champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, perhaps the biggest favorite of all to the Rio crowd, took out Brendan Schaub in the first round of one of the loudest events in UFC history at the sold-out HSBC Arena. Nogueira came back from two hip surgeries, a knee surgery, and several months on crutches to take the fight and didn’t disappoint the home crowd.
